Month 5: Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ – Day 149

Compare to Sister’s Blog:  Month 5:  We Have Mobility

Zzzzzz…

7/21 Day 149 S:    Egads, I’m tired.    I gave up at 7:00AM, gave Mr. Wakey Wakey Smiley Goo Goo to Daddy Man after I peed him and said, “Take the baby.  He ate all night so shouldn’t be hungry for a while.  I’m going back to bed!”     I crawled back into bed with Itty Bitty, and Daddy Man was left dazed and sleep deprived in the spare room because he stayed up extra late to play with a project.    No pity from the Mamma!

It was only three hours but I fell into a deep sleep, woke myself up twice with drool, and when Itty Bitty woke me up for the day my right ear and arm was numb from sleeping without moving from that position for so long.  Ow!   The ear really hurts when blood rushes back to it!

It was a day of low hits because the baby only got peed with me, though Daddy Man did try a time or two.   Moose has been holding it longer and unless it is after a feed or nap it is hard for Daddy to get one.

I fed the baby while Daddy Man ran some errands and he fell asleep after a turbo nurse, much to Daddy Man’s consternation, “He didn’t sleep at all after you gave him to me!”     Mommy thought:  Awww, too bad, so sad…hahaha.       I gave him back to daddy for an hour while I went outside and hacked at the rhododendrons eating our bay window.   It was so big it was blocking out the sun!     I didn’t get a chance to trim them for two seasons and it gets really ugly really fast!    Healthy happy bushes are now hacked back  quite severely.   They’ll survive and now we have light!     I’m all scratched up and have a rash, but I got the biggest one done in an hour.  We did the baby exchange so I could feed the Moose and spend a little time with Itty Bitty.     Daddy Man made an exclamation of, “Holy crap…” when he saw that the bush was now below the window and shown no mercy.    He picked up the trimmed carnage for me.     “Why did you have to start this project today?”   says he.   “Because its the first weekend not a heat wave, they are starting to lay down next years flowers so I can’t wait, and you are home.”  says I.       It had to be done.

I gave him back the fed and peed baby (I’d had a miss too)  while he came in to cool off and rest from doing his outdoor chores and I tackled the smaller, and easier Rhododendron.     I then decided it was easy enough to wear Moose on my back while I finished so he napped while Itty Bitty and I picked up all of the trimmings and put them in her wagon (Daddy Man’s Idea) and hauled it to the mulch pile.      Daddy Man busied himself with getting the hammock and uncovering furniture and cleaning the grill.     A mouse had destroyed our hammock (boo!) but Daddy Man took us to buy a better replacement for the frame we already had (Yay!) and we decided to eat out (Woo Hoo No Dishes!) and when I took Itty Bitty to potty as requested by her I forgot about the Mini Moose and missed (Darn!).

The kids and I went to bed early.    Pees in the evening were hits and misses.

I’d say the misses won out today!

Month 5: Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ – Day 148

Compare to Sister’s Blog:  Month 5:  We Have Mobility

7/20 Day 148 F:    Another long night of marathon nursing and peeing.   I just couldn’t get any pees in time despite being awoken by a hungry baby.   I’m too good at sleep nursing I guess!     Otherwise, I wouldn’t get any sleep at all.    The baby and I were up at 7:30 AM but Itty Bitty slept until almost 9:00AM.   I spent the morning cleaning up for weekend guests and Moose played on the floor.   He can really wiggle quite efficiently to where he wants to go and grab whatever his eye has fixated on until he pretty much exhausts himself.   After catching the morning big wee (I consider a triple release of pee in the same session to be big, a double wee medium and a single release a small piddly pee.)      The rest of the day was really a 50/50 hit and miss.  One miss was a poop that was totally unexpected that Itty Bitty told me about.   He’d had some farts here and there but I guess I didn’t hold him over the toilet for long enough so he didn’t have time to take advantage of the opportunity.     Daddy Man brought home burritos for dinner.      Got a lot done (bathroom, kitchen, some laundry, floor) but not near enough for guests.  Luckily, they aren’t coming until Sunday so there is still time.  Busy busy busy chores chores chores.

Month 5: Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ – Day 147

Downward Dog

7/19 Day 147 Th (21 weeks):   Yadda Yadda same old same old last night.  The exciting stuff happened after we were up for the day.   It was a poop-a-thon.     The first one was after his morning toilet wee and I put him down on his play mat bare bum as is our daily routine and he was on his back.  It was sometime around 11:30am when I heard the poo-fart go “squidge” and I was startled and squeaked, “Eeeek!   Wait Wait!”     He looked right at me as I hurried to scoop him up and dash to the bathroom and he had a Bombadier Beetle like expulsion in the toilet and a healthy pee afterwards.    Quite proud of myself and of my little butterball, I put him back on the mat to play.    Fifteen or twenty minutes later I heard the squidgy noise again.  “Aakk! Again!?  Wait!”   I sputtered urgently, scooped up the bare poop machine and held him over the toilet again where he had another healthy poop released with volcanic force, successive belly tenses, and a satisfied cooing noise.    He also peed a bit again.      About an hour later I put a prefold on him while I was out of the room to do laundry and he was  practicing his yoga poses (I got a picture this time to prove it)  and playing on the floor with Itty Bitty and I just had that “feeling”.     When I came back he’d had a small mucousy poop and was trying to squiggle away from himself.    He’s been swallowing a lot of his own drool lately from constantly having his fist shoved in his mouth.

One Leg Plank

The rest of the afternoon was a high catch rate and there wasn’t a lot of misses until just before  left for work and of course when he was with Daddy Man.   It wasn’t an interesting day.   Chores as usual, I played Words with Friends, and gave Itty Bitty some scrabble letters to play with.   Did laundry.    Nursed baby–lots.  Lunch, Dinner…bore bore bore.     I left for work around 5:00, as we were getting in the car I realized Itty Bitty hadn’t pottied in ages, so I sent her back in the house by herself and told her to potty.  She opened the door, went about her business, came back, and climbed in her carseat as I was loading the car.   You go girl!     I came home around 10PM and was informed that Moose had been inconsolable, drank too much milk, and got a belly ache.   They went for a walk and that seemed to help.    G-Ma had come over to take Itty Bitty to play and when she came back to drop her off, Moose fell asleep on her and Itty Bitty on Daddy Man.

Month 5: Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ – Day 146

Compare to Sister’s Blog:  Month 5:  We Have Mobility

Hello, My name is Destructo Girl and I discovered that flying is not among my talents.

7/18 Day 146 W:    This morning the first thing I observed was Itty Bitty’s face and though the bruise is darker it’s not as bad as I thought it would be.  Check out the photo of Ms. Egghead — the swelling was much more prominent last night.  It looked like she was smuggling a ping pong ball in her forehead or about to sprout a horn.       Mini Moose was a bit wakeful last night having to pee a ton and nursing like it was going out of style.     Some people must wonder why I don’t “do something and teach the baby to self soothe,” but I don’t think that in the absence of a medical problem that children need to be taught to sleep.    I try to do what I think my mitochondrial mother did.  I follow my instincts.  Though I live in the modern world and that sometime needs a bit of tweaking, I always remember that my baby thinks it is primitive times and is adapted to that life–babies are all instinct.  They have the luxury of not knowing what all this other “static-y stuff” (how they are supposed to be) is all about.    This Wait It Out method is beautifully stated here.

Ordinary routine today.   A big night of “just missed” change out, but a great big success of catches before we got up,a couple floor misses, and a big toilet pee before we left at 11AM for a play date.   I stopped to pick up lunch, managed to get there by memory (this feat is amazing…even though it is only 8 minutes away, I navigate about as well as a blindfolded bat wearing earplugs), and we had a pottytunity when we got there (including Itty Bitty) and another after a long nurse induced nap.    New Friend doesn’t know that she is really helping me get over being self-conscious about ECing n other homes.    Itty Bitty played with the toddler girl, Moose and the 3 month old baby boy smiled at each other, and we Mommy’s got to chit chat.   We spent part of the afternoon at the pond where Itty Bitty showed off her total lack of fear in the water and I realized I spent much of my brainpower working out how to leap up, safely toss Mini Moose on the “beach”, and grab Itty Bitty ifshe got herself in trouble.   It was shallow to a point but she was eyeing the older, taller boys farther out and I could see the thought bubble!    I kept nagging her to not go too far from me where I was sitting with Mini Moose in the water as he splashed and observed in his already too tight rashguard.     Daddy Man is part Dolphin and I am part rock…so you can see why I was anxious.   I need swimming lessons when money affords the luxury.

It began to thunder so we headed back and I realized I forgot a change of clothes!   Head smack!   Oh well.  Itty Bitty borrowed a dress and the two girls looked so alike it was freaky.  I had a catch when we got back, then a series of misses.  A few belly pees and an after nap pee because I wasn’t in proximity when he awoke.   Usually I am in the room or he is in my arms, but we were playing hide and seek with the kids.

I inspired New Friend to try EC again since she fell into the “but I keep missing” trap instead of focusing on communication, and I was jolted into realizing that I have totally forgotten how to play (like a kid…you know what I mean?)!

Anyway, when we got home the catch rate was about a 60:40 and I did miss an out-of-the-blue poop.  I had a prefold on my lap and was talking to Daddy Man when Mini Moose tensed and let our a very forceful farty-poop.  I “eeked” and ran to the bathroom and he finished on the toilet.   I was in shorts so I had poop leg and a little bit got on the couch, easily cleaned up no stain (can’t even tell it was there — except now the couch has a clean spot.  Hah!).

Month 5: Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ – Day 145

Compare to Sister’s Blog:  Month 5:  We Have Mobility

7/17 Day 145 T:    Last night Mini Moose rolled over on his belly, sucked and drooled on a finger, then fell asleep off breast.    My heart broke a little.   I know that’s silly, but I can’t help it.   I was happy he woke me up out of sleep fog later demanding to be soothed by the Orbs of Delight.    Anyway, we didn’t get a catch until just before we got up and that was two in a row.   I had a soiled prefold stuffed in the bjorn and I just let him pee on that.   The second one I mis-aimed and got a little on the top sheet.  Just a few drops but still, I’ve got to watch that little hose.       We actually slept in until 9AM.  Yay!

The day was pretty normal.   We tried to go outside but it was too hot and muggy.  I got the after nap pees and “after long in arms carry” pees and after “especially long nurse pees” and missed all of the floor pees except for one.     I also missed the poop.  I wasn’t expecting poop two days in a row!     The belly pees can’t be helped until his sphincter gets as strong as his crazy acrobatics.  Really, ever since he’s been on carpet he’s been digging his toes into the hard wood floor and launching himself into crazy yoga poses.  Downward dog.   I swear I will try to catch it on film!

Itty Bitty has had no further potty incidences, but I also have been giving a gentle nudge if she’s not had a potty visit in a long while, but that is maybe once a day when my Potty Sense starts to tingle.    Mini Moose fell asleep 15 minutes before I left to do the Baby Handoff  for work at 5:00pm and he was so mad I woke him up (I tried not to but it’s hard not to wake up a baby when you clip them into a car seat)!   Itty Bitty didn’t have a nap so I got her a muffin to keep her happy and Moose fell back to sleep in the car seat.   We made the exchange quite easily.

I come home to an empty house at 10pm.

Crumbs on the floor…not unusual.  I was worried at first but took twenty minutes to tell myself not to be silly.  There was no need to think the worst.  Daddy Man probably just took them for a drive hoping they’d fall asleep.

I will let Daddy Man tell this one:

I think Itty Bitty shaved a few years off my life…. While giving the baby a bottle she wanted to start bouncing on the couch. After asking her to stop a few times I told her I’d stop Little Einsteins since she not watching it. At this point, she decided to get one last good jump in, throwing herself to sit down.   With the baby in my arms I watched as she bounced off the couch, caught air, grazed the TV tray, and landed head first on the floor.

Thought one — “This is why I’m asking you to stop jumping…”
Thought two — “That looks like it would really have hurt.”
Thought three — “Get some ice and look at the eye she’s saying hurts.”
Thougth four — “OMG that’s a huge egg on her forehead!”
Thought five (as she’s saying she wants to lay down and go to sleep) — “It’s time for the ER.”

So far after 4 hours at the ER things look OK I think.  We dodged a bullet but that egg’s going to hurt for awhile.

Mommy Says:
She didn’t get that daredevil gene from me…

I will post a picture in the morning and add it to the next entry.     We spent the rest of the evening tsking and worrying while Itty Bitty acted like nothing had happened except for saying, “I apologize.”         I didn’t catch but one good pee after all this because Daddy Man forgot to bring a bottle of milk (he refused an offer of formula and I’m glad for it) and I was bursting out of my bra so I was happy for a hungry baby.   Daddy Man said he had been very tolerant and didn’t start to get peeved until the last hour of their adventure.

Month 5: Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ – Day 144

Ready to work!

7/16 Day 144 M:     I woke up last night to a snoozing Itty Bitty next to me.  I”m surprised she didn’t wake me up when she came to bed (or rather when Daddy Man brought her to bed).    It was a change out night as usual until just before  our 7:30 construction wake up call.   As I was laying there grumbling, the noise suddenly stopped and we all fell back to sleep.  Score!

We had an awesome morning of catches in the toilet with only one miss which was a poop after I put him down on the floor while I brought down a load of diaper laundry.    It is a hot one today, but Itty Bitty wanted to go outside.   I set up the sun tent and hose in the front so we could go in and out quickly (it really sucks not having a rear door to the backyard).   We were out maybe half an hour and then she wanted back inside.    I set her up with her rock box and a bowl of water in the living room.    She wanted to nurse a lot today and so did Moose, I still have to limit her sessions and it goes well though I have to be careful if she is nursing and planning to nap.  It takes timing to call it done or else she gets upset.       I’d planned on hacking the rhododendrons eating the house and even had Moose hatted and slung on my back, but it just stayed to hot and I was sweating non stop outside even sitting still.

I took it easy.  I cleaned the bathroom, did a quick sweep, folded old laundry, froze bananas on chopsticks at Itty Bitty’s request, did dish detail, made a quick pickle with a farm fresh cucumber with Itty Bitty’s help, nursed Moose while I got caught up with blog photos on all the draft entries I had accumulating, and just did spaghetti for supper.  Nothing fancy.     We had great catch rate until 9 pm or so.   Eve Daddy Man caught a little one!

Month 5: Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ – Day 143

Compare to Sister’s Blog:  Month 5:  We Have Mobility

Mantra: A diaper is a tool not a toilet.

7/15 Day 143 Su:   Oh my aching back!   Concrete-like Pillows (sure look nice for display purposes but are awful for the head and neck), beds so high off the floor it is nearly nosebleed inducing, and it was hot.  I maybe got 3 hours of sleep, Itty Bitty slept but was restless until it cooled off and had one of those whiny inconsolable episodes.     Once I would get her settled Moose would wake up hungry or wet.     Once it cooled off they both settled down into deep sleeps, but by then I was so tired I was wide awake!   Such is my fate.

Upon Mini Moose waking for the day at his favorite 7:00AM time, he was really really fussy and I didn’t think I’d make it to the bathroom…but I forgot his potty bowl AND the baby bjorn!    Egads!    So to at least keep the poop off his bottom (the time in Ohio when I missed that day his little butt got chapped very fast and it is back now to being pristine) I held him over a prefold on my lap.   I cued him to pee, he happily did so on the prefold and out came the poop which landed on my pants!    The prefold shifted as I was balancing precariously on the edge of the trapeze of beds.       Oh well.  At least it was not on his butt, I didn’t have to scrape it off his boy bits, and my pants were soaked in sweat from the night anyway.   Meh, I just threw it in the wet bag.

Daddy Man slept late until 9:30AM, Itty Bitty helped gramps water the flowers, we had a light breakfast, hung out, and then went to visit great-g-ma in the hot as an oven house (whew!), then visited Cousin in her house of air conditioned Nirvana, dropped off a sleeping Moose at Grams and Gramps so we could go for a 30 minute trip to the nearby fair for fried dough, Del’s lemonade, and a half order of fried Oreos.     Itty Bitty got her first Del’s all to herself for treat and the non sugared edges of some fried dough.   We had catches all day long including another poop in the toilet and didn’t have to use a new prefold until 3pm, but it wasn’t a miss — I was going to catch it and almost had the diaper off and he couldn’t hold back.    I’m counting it as a catch!    So there!    And we didn’t have to use another until we got home (our home) at around 6pm and then it was a whole cluster of misses including a stealth poo.

Itty Bitty was wore out (from running and laughing) and stayed asleep in the car to house transfer and so did Moose (tired from showing off his floor pivoting skills and practicing rolling from belly to back with control not head blops).  No rest for the mommy though! Unpack, organize laundry, pick up flotsam.   Daddy Man mowed the grass.   We hung out watching TV for a bit then Daddy Man took Itty Bitty to work on a project and I went to bed around 10:00pm.

Month 5: Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ – Day 142

Compare to Sister’s Blog:  Month 5:  We Have Mobility

A quick pottytunity is no problem! No accessories required.

7/14 Day 142 S:    Caught two big wees this morning and then it was a hit or miss before we left the house around 11:30am.  I had to pack and decided to go light.   One carry on bag for the prefold stash, carry on bag for one change of clothes for each of us, plus my daily bag where I store my keys, camera, diaper cover, and other small bits like crayons for Itty Bitty.    However, I forgot to pack an extra pair of pants for myself and my Mei Tai!     I’ve never felt more naked than without my baby carrier.    I realized I hadn’t brought it about 3/4 of the way to our destination.  Flapjacks!

We arrived around 2pm and both kids were asleep the whole way.   Mini Moose was dry so I took him to pee right away and we all spent the afternoon out side with Grams and Gramps (my parents).   Mini Moose got to pee outside twice (they only have one bathroom and it is on the second floor!) and Itty Bitty had Grams take her to potty when  couldn’t.  She needs help because the toilet is so high and there are a lot of distracting breakables along the way!      Daddy Man and I took the kids to his friend’s 40th birthday party.   At first I took out the sleeping Mini Moose and carried him inside lamenting the lack of my Mei Tai, and then remembered that Daddy Man has one of those baby bucket car seats.   He didn’t remember either (he likes them I hate them – I find them heavy, and unwieldly).   I took Mini Moose back outside and put him in the bucket while Daddy Man attended to Itty Bitty and brought him back inside where he snoozed through a lot of cacophony.   Upon awaking he had a successful potty which included a surprise poop and Itty Bitty had a nice pee and then later sought out Daddy Man to take her for a number 2!     We stayed for Happy Birthday and didn’t stay for cake; we had a nice time though and I got to talk to friends of Daddy Man who up until now have been Christmas Card Names!  We actually didn’t have a miss with Mini Moose until around 11:00pm back at Grams and Gramps .  Considering that he’d been passed around to two grandparents, two uncles, an aunt, and four strangers and in two new settings that is super major!       We’ve been having very nice toilet pees — hold in position, pee, done.  Only one in a while do I have to wait a bit for him to relax if he’s being distracted — such as Itty Bitty goo gooing in his face.

Itty Bitty needed time to settle so we went to bed first (it is really hot!) and Mini Moose was brought to me later.

Month 5: Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ – Day 141

Me hold him.

7/13 Day 141 F:     It was an okay night.  Mini Moose woke wet once, then woke dry and stayed dry until my  brain processed the pee need.  That was a successful very big catch and even though we were up (7:00am) he didn’t have a cluster pee until much later in the morning.  I missed those but we used the same prefold until 7PM.  Itty Bitty was cueing him with me.  We used the toilet mostly rather than the potty bowl.  Itty Bitty had no toileting issues and it was a pretty low key day other than doing laundry  before we go visit my family this weekend ( only 1 1/2 hours away.)   I was going to go to a playgroup potluck meetup but with my car just getting fixed, the heat, and distance, I just wasn’t up for it.

I colored with Itty Bitty, we ate leftovers, I cleaned up a bit, and mostly we just cuddled the day away.

Month 5: Rollin’ Rollin’ Rollin’ – Day 140

Compare to Sister’s Blog:  Month 5:  We Have Mobility

They aren’t fighting, it’s just a lucky shot. Itty Bitty is holding him and he wants to grab her hair.

7/12 Day 140 R (20 Weeks) :   Moose is now 15lbs 25″ and technically 5 months old today but I’m going to wait until the 22nd to begin “in month 6” and not go by weeks anymore.

So yesterday I forgot to refer to my most important mantra:    when Itty Bitty acts bazonko give more hugs.     Well the mantra isn’t those exact words, but it is something that has prevented jealousy, acting out,  and sibling rivalry.    When I want to have space I need to engage MORE not less.   Today, even though I am still a bit out of sorts we started the day on a better note even though the noise outside makes me consider throwing some objects at construction personnel.    I talked to Itty Bitty a lot more than I did yesterday and gave voice to the baby — things I normally do but didn’t do yesterday or much the day before.     We  had a short nursing session, shared breakfast side by side…Itty Bitty was plastered against my thigh.   She asked to hold the baby and I helped.   She watched me potty him successfully twice and clean up two misses.    As Mini Moose played on the floor she brought him way too many toys, made him laugh, and covered him lovingly with “blankets” (light scarves).  She kept trying to put his toys in his mouth like she does with her dolls, so I had to firmly tell her to let him grab it and never put things in is mouth.   I did raise my voice the upteenth time.

We even went outside and I peed Mini Moose in a potty bowl or on a tree while she made me a sand cake with stick candles.   When he fell asleep she wanted me to play in the sandbox, but I was trapped in my beach chair.  She was disappointed but then amused herself happily with things in the yard.

Back inside I caught half a poop — one part on a prefold on my lap and the rest on the potty bowl.    Itty Bitty decided to play in the toy corner and got herself stuck.   As she tried to extricate herself and was almost out, her bladder let go.  I heard the waterfall and she was standing there like a deer in headlights.     It got cleaned up easily and I made a mental note to remind her occasionally to assess bathroom needs–only after it has been a couple of hours.    She’d gone to the bathroom successfully several times today and even had a big poop, so it was just a situational accident.   I then made the error of playing this video “The Gummy Bear Song” and it will now be played thousands of times in my brain.    She loved it though and so did Mini Moose who was fascinated with the music and his sister.   With Mini Moose I had 50:50 catches and misses.

Unfortunately, they both fell asleep 15 minutes before  had to leave for work.  Bad bad juju.   This is an adjustment week — back from vacation and back to work.   No matter what I did, they both konked out.   I packed them in the car and went to work and to do the handoff with Daddy Man.  It seemed to go off without a hitch.

I came home to a too quiet house.   Turns out that Itty Bitty went back to attention seeking behavior.  Had a tantrum when they got home because she wanted to stay outside but the baby was wanting to eat and was hot.  Daddy Man let her stay in the jeep for 15 minutes to try to diffuse the situation but the baby was too hot and was really wanting mommy milk.    He said it spiraled from there because he couldn’t give her attention.     G-Ma stopped by and not even that changed things because Itty Bitty wanted Daddy Man.    I guess, now that the Mommy situation was corrected she was seeking to fix the Daddy situation.   After G-Ma left and Mini Moose was on his second bottle and was just about asleep Itty Bitty apparently had had enough.     I am told she stood by him on the couch, lifted her leg, and peed.

She’s done that once before with him (“War and Pees” from Cause and Effect Month 21).

He cleaned it up calmly and ignored the behavior (he held it together — he wanted to spank but knows that’s a big no no with me–that’s a big loss of control and he’s a strong dude who can hurt you when he’s just playing around even when he’s being careful ).   Daddy Man put some water in the tub and left her to it.   She cleaned herself up and that was that.  She was mellowed after, he said.    Perhaps she felt mortified with herself or realized it was an impulse move that had the opposite effect of what she really wanted.    Too bad toddlers don’t come with sim thought bubbles.

I think I will tell Daddy Man to let her help with Mini Moose more with him when I am at work (she does help with the bottle). I think he forgets that if guided she is willing to help with just about anything and it keeps her focused and engaged until she’s had her fill and then she goes off to discover things on her own.     I think our family visits with so much activity and sleeplessness has thrown us off our game.

The rest of the evening went surprisingly well.  Daddy Man soothed his irritation with a lemon slushie I brought home.  Itty Bitty looked contrite and sat near Daddy Man all evening while I had Mini Moose.   We had high catch rate too!      Mini Moose fell asleep beside me not attached to booba.  Wow!    This meant I could leave Daddy Man to watch him while I gave Itty Bitty a bath and wash sandbox sand out of her hair.  She, of course, acted like I was trying to do her bodily harm by washing her head.   Such carrying on!       She asked for mahmees (nursing).  I brushed her teeth and then let her nurse after we talked about what words to use when she needed us.  “I need you Mommy/Daddy,”  seems a good start.   She nursed then went to her side of the bed, curled up, asked for a cuddle, then went to sleep.     A short 15 minutes later, Daddy Man brought up Mini Moose who fell asleep immediately after  5 minute power nurse.

At midnight I was out too ( I got home from work at 10:00pm).
