Compare to Sister’s Blog: Month 7: Pulling Up and Solids
9/19 Day 209 W: Same old same old last night, nothing new or interesting to report. We did go to a nearby library for a free toddler storytelling and craft hour. It was nice. A friend E. and her two children were there and we stayed to play for a while (Mini Moose peed twice in the bathroom while we were there) and we met new friend who was visiting family in the area for an extended stay. As we were leaving, Mini Moose needed to have a good wee and we had an impromptu pee in the grass out of the way of the footpath. He almost peed on my shoe! Our friend E. thought we would like to have a picnic lunch on the beautiful grounds of a Monastary that was unknowingly about ten minutes away and was easy to drive to since it was directly off the main road. Part of it open to the public of course. We spent a good hour and a half there and again Mini Moose had a pee outdoors. The two toddler girls ran around like crazy and didn’t stop for a second.
The kids were tired when we got home though surprisingly they didn’t nap in the car. We had a bunch of misses in the evening as I was working on craft decorations for Itty Bitty’s third birthday party on Friday. It is going slower than I anticipated. Mini Moose is also pulling up on everything and he managed to pull down a Melissa and Doug puzzle from a low cabinet and give himself a blood blister on his toe! After crying for about 20 seconds and being comforted, he was right back trying to get those puzzles again!
The party is coming up soon and I’m getting kind of anxious. I’m very tired and I just don’t know if I’m going to have enough time to get things done. I try so hard to be organized but it always seems to end up in a shambles. I”m hoping the energy release of the past two days will be enough to keep the littles on the down-low for a day or two.
